ERNEST W.BAKER
Founded in 2016 by American and Portuguese designers Reed Baker and Ines Amorim. The brand is named after Ernest W. Baker, an advertising man in Detroit in the 60's and grandfather of Reed, who gained experience at Haider Ackermann, Yang Li, and Wooyoungmi, and whose work seems to have been taken from Ernest's closet at the time. The intent is to reinterpret classic garments that feel like they were taken from Ernest's closet back in the day, combining European elegance with good old American rusticity. The collection expresses a modern masculine image that feels nostalgic, yet not old-fashioned.
