Both was founded in 2016 by Singapore's ATX Group.
The brand is based in Paris, but creators and directors of different nationalities and bases of activity scattered in Berlin and Shanghai have gathered to work on the brand.
The brand name "both" has the meaning of fusing opposite elements such as "old and new," "East and West," and "sophistication and roughness," which is also projected in the products as the brand concept.
