Designers Tatsuya Kimura and Sanae Yoshida established DISCOVERED in 2001 after graduating from Yasuko Ueda Fashion Design College. At the beginning, they created and provided custom-made clothing to musicians, DJs, actors, and other artists. Later, it developed its collection on an exhibition basis and has been participating in the Tokyo Collections since 2010.

The concept of the brand is "Opposition mix up," aiming for a fusion of conflicting tastes and designs, and genre-less designs.
