KIJIMA TAKAYUKI
The brand name was changed from its predecessor brand "coeur" to his own name "KIJIMA TAKAYUKI" in 2013 by designer Takayuki Kijima, and started with a men's line and a women's line.
KIJIMA TAKAYUKI's collections are based on the concept of "design that lives by styling", incorporating the atmosphere of the times transmitted from various matters from a unique perspective and sense of balance. KIJIMA TAKAYUKI's collections incorporate a sense of the atmosphere of the times conveyed from a variety of sources, with a unique perspective and sense of balance.
For five years from 1990 to 1994, he studied under the late Akio Hirata, a leading hat designer. He was involved in hat production for Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garcons, etc., and learned European haute mode techniques.
In 1995, he established an atelier in Daikanyama, Tokyo, and in 1999, opened a directly managed store. In the atelier, skilled craftsmen carefully create products one by one by hand. The atelier uses unique techniques to create soft and comfortable wear that mass production methods cannot.
Collaborations such as TOGA and TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloIst offer detailed handmade expression and traditional techniques.
From Fall/Winter 2017, KIJIMA TAKAYASHI will be launching a new collection of KIJIMA TAKAYASHI's "KIJIMA TAKAYASHI". Winter, KIJIMA TAKAYUKI launched its high-end line "HIGH LINE". The collection presents the designer's enduring values using rare and luxurious materials and traditional haute mode techniques.
KIJIMA TAKAYUKI's collections are presented twice a year in Tokyo and Paris, and are available in Japan and abroad.
