OVERCOAT
The concept of OVERCOAT began with the idea of "Wearing New York.

While walking the streets of New York, designer Ryuhei Daimaru noticed the awning material often used as store-front eaves. The graphical prints in various typefaces symbolize the diversity of the city. What if this wind- and rain-resistant material could be made into a coat and worn? This idea led to the launch of the brand.
After graduating from Bunka Fashion College, designer Ryuhei Oomaru built up his career working for maisons participating in the Paris Collections. After moving to the US in 2006, he worked as a creative consultant and pattern maker for top designers and brands in New York.
From 2015 A/W, OVERCOAT OVERCOAT】】was released in the fall/winter of 2015. The patterns, especially the shoulder line, are designed to fit the wearer like haute couture and create a beautiful silhouette, even though they are prêt-a-porter. The clothes are free from size, gender, and age.
