Designer Yoshio Kubo graduated from the Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science. After working as an assistant to New York haute couture designer Robert Danes, he returned to Japan and established his own label, "yoshiokubo," in 2004. The brand develops collections focused on sophisticated design, characterized by unique flowing cuts, the mixing of disparate materials, and original textiles created through graphic collaborations with nowartt. In 2017, Kubo was selected as an emerging designer for the Giorgio Armani support program and presented his collection during Milan Fashion Week. The brand continues to generate buzz and garner attention by consistently launching new initiatives, such as the "yoshiokubo by PUMA" line in collaboration with the global sportswear manufacturer.
